ABOUT US
Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India's first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.
As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don't just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you'll be fuelling the future of space exploration.
JOB SUMMARY
Azista Space Systems is rapidly expanding its footprint as a premier global player in the space technology sector. We deliver vertically integrated solutions across satellite buses, payloads, subsystems, and satellite communication equipment. As we accelerate our program delivery timelines and scale our manufacturing capabilities, we are seeking a visionary Supply Chain Manager (Space Systems) to lead our strategic supply chain operations in Hyderabad.
In this executive leadership role, you will architect and execute a resilient, cost-effective, and scalable global supply chain strategy tailored for low-volume, high-complexity spaceborne systems. You will serve as the strategic link between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and international suppliers, owning make-vs-buy frameworks, strategic sourcing, and global logistics for mission-critical components.
As a core operational leader, you will directly manage and optimize key metrics including On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery, supplier lead-time reduction, inventory turn rates,
total cost of ownership (TCO), and regulatory compliance across our product lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Supply Chain Leadership: Architect and execute long-term supply chain strategies, S&OP; processes, and procurement roadmaps aligned with mission timelines and growth goals.
- Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: Lead cross-functional sourcing for critical space-grade components (mechanical, RF, electronic, propulsion) while driving vendor qualification and high-stakes contract negotiations.
- Risk Mitigation & Continuity: Build integrated supply planning models and proactive risk-mitigation frameworks to safeguard against sole-source dependencies and global supply disruptions.
- Regulatory & Export Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to aerospace compliance standards and international regulatory frameworks including AS9100, ECSS, SCOMET, ITAR, and EAR.
- Digitalization & Process Excellence: Drive digital transformation across procurement functions by leveraging advanced ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), predictive analytics, and automated inventory planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management on make-vs-buy decisions, design-for-supply-chain initiatives, and customer audit readiness.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing supply chain organization, fostering talent development, succession planning, and operational excellence.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience: 6+ years of progressive supply chain leadership in aerospace, defence,
or high-reliability technology manufacturing.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record managing complex, high-reliability supply chains for satellites, spaceborne systems, launch vehicles, or defence platforms.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Technical & Tools Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with enterprise ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle), advanced planning software, and supplier performance analytics dashboards.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of international trade, export controls, and quality standards (AS9100, ECSS, SCOMET, ITAR, EAR).
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad, India.
NICE-TO-HAVE (PREFERRED)
- Advanced Degree: Master's degree (MBA or MS) in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
- Certifications: Qualified credentials such as CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Industry Ecosystems: Exposure to NewSpace ecosystems, defence offsets, or low-volume/high-complexity manufacturing environments.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Telugu to facilitate local vendor integration and regional operational execution.
