Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Observability Engineer / Analyst with strong expertise in Dynatrace to support both platform engineering and day-to-day operational monitoring. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Dynatrace administration, observability engineering, Active Gate deployment, Open Telemetry implementation, and cloud-native monitoring across Azure and Kubernetes environments.

Core Responsibilities

- Administer and optimize Dynatrace (SaaS/Managed), including alerting, anomaly detection, dashboards, DQL, management zones, and tagging.
- Act as the Dynatrace Subject Matter Expert (SME) by troubleshooting issues, tuning alerts, resolving data gaps, and supporting platform users.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and DQL queries for application, infrastructure, and operational visibility.
- Deploy and manage Dynatrace One Agent across:
- Windows & Linux Azure Virtual Machines
- Kubernetes / AKS
- Azure Function Apps (Windows) using One Agent Extension
- Design, deploy, and maintain Active Gates for:
- VM traffic routing
- Synthetic private locations
- Extension execution (Active Gate-based extensions)
- Configure and support One Agent and Active Gate Extensions.




- Implement and support Open Telemetry (OTEL) for Azure Function Apps (Linux) and other custom workloads.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to improve observability and monitoring capabilities.

Required Skills

- 7+ years of IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in Dynatrace (UI & backend).
- Extensive experience with Dynatrace SaaS/Managed environments.
- Robust knowledge of Dynatrace Query Language (DQL).
- Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting Active Gates.
- Experience with Azure, Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes/AKS environments.
- Experience implementing Open Telemetry (OTEL).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Dynatrace Associate – Required
- Dynatrace Professional – Preferred
- Microsoft Azure and/or Kubernetes Certifications – Preferred
