WSP Digital Solutions is a fast moving, innovation focused team helping our environmental and engineering clients adopt up-to-date digital capabilities.

We are looking for a Principal Developer who can build modern cloud‑native applications, integrate APIs, and contribute to high‑quality product development in an agile environment.

This role blends hands-on development, modern cloud tooling, and collaboration with architects, data engineers, and product teams.

Responsibilities

- Ability to act as a senior technical resource and guide the project teams as well as customers on important technical decisions and ensure smooth and quality delivery of projects.

- Develop and Execute varying sizes of customizations, standard processes, and maintenance; upgrading existing products

- Creation of prototypes, POCs, presentations, technical documentations

- Enabling implementation of the product with documentation and execution of varying sizes of customizations, standard processes & maintenance and upgrading existing product.

- Design and develop cloud native applications using modern frameworks and tools.

- Build APIs, microservices, and integrations across digital platforms.

- Work with data engineers and scientists to operationalize analysis pipelines and ML models.

- Key working areas includes agile product development, Scrum execution, and Backlog management.

- Contribute to code reviews, testing practices,



and CI/CD automation.

- Collaborate with product owners and delivery managers to understand requirements and deliver incremental value.

- Help shape technical architecture decisions and participate in sprint planning and estimation.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in building applications.
- Experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Java).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Understanding of API development, microservices, and modern web frameworks.
- Strong version control and DevOps practices (Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
- Ability to communicate clearly across technical and nontechnical teammates

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience integrating ML/AI components into applications.
- Familiarity with data engineering workflows.
- Experience working in environmental, infrastructure, or engineering domains.
