Join us as a Learning Development Partner In this key role you ll act as the first point of contact for business areas and functions on all aspects of learning leadership and development Through learning forums you ll ensure the prioritisation and focused use of learning budgets in-line with the bank s priorities regulatory and customer requirements Your work won t just be benefitting the people who work here but will make a direct difference to the services we offer and the customers we support We re offering this role at director level What you ll do Learning drives business impact and growth fuelling a high-performance culture The Learning and Development Centre of Expertise leads the way in upskilling the workforce at pace achieving better and simpler colleague experiences As a Learning Development Partner you ll be partnering with business ExCo members and HR teams to optimise employee and business performance through correctly identifying prioritising and implementing learning leadership and development interventions and aligning these to business needs professional standards and regulatory and conduct obligations You ll be developing and implementing a capability strategy for each business or function which encompasses technical or regulatory learning skilled standards and accreditation leadership development and talent management in partnership with the business and in-line with the bank s approach You ll also be Using your consultancy skills to undertake initial learning needs analysis for all learning and development requirements Chairing learning forums to drive business engagement alignment and collaboration and feed in and out of the bank s governance meetings Acting as a member of the function s leadership team contributing to financial planning budgeting forecasting resource allocation and prioritisation Representing the business area or function in the bank s learning and development meetings presenting business cases to secure funding and resources Promoting the delivery of services and learning products through a consistent and functionally aligned operating model and appropriate channels The skills you ll need We re looking for someone with strong knowledge of learning and development theories models and practices along with experience of operational and financial planning and managing large budgets for business benefits and maximum efficiency You ll also demonstrate A background in influencing diverse professional teams An understanding of relevant legal policies regulations and risk management Experience of developing learning and development strategies in a complex business and driving their use for strategic advantage Excellent consultancy skills Experience of the banking industry regulatory and commercial environment
