the financial or banking industry to join our growing team The Business Analyst will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions You will collaborate with product owners technical teams and other stakeholders to support the definition documentation and successful implementation of APIs that drive our digital services and connect with external partners Elicitation Analysis Translate high-level business objectives into detailed functional and non-functional requirements use cases user stories process flows and data models incorporating an API driven solution Conduct comprehensive gap analysis between current and future state processes and document use cases user stories and data flow diagrams incl API based flow Prioritize requirements based on business value technical feasibility and strategic alignment Support the identification of required API capabilities data elements payloads and interaction patterns Solution Design Development Support Collaborate with technical teams developers architects QA to design and propose effective technology solutions that meet business needs with API Integrated Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle Participate in solution API design reviews and provide input on technical specifications Support the development team during the build phase by clarifying requirements and addressing questions Help create and maintain API specifications using relevant tools and standards e g Open API Swagger and ensure its accurate clear and supports both internal and external consumers Testing Quality Assurance Support Develop and execute test plans test cases and user acceptance testing UAT scripts to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are of high quality Coordinate UAT sessions with business users and manage defect tracking and resolution Assist in defining test scenarios and reviewing test cases for APIs to ensure they meet specified requirements Support User Acceptance Testing UAT processes for API-driven features Documentation Communication Create and maintain clear concise and comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents BRDs functional specifications process maps and user manuals Communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders on project status findings and recommendations Process Improvement Identify and recommend opportunities for process optimization efficiency gains improvement in API definition and delivery Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices related to APIs Qualifications Experience 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst into Software development or IT projects Experience or strong foundational knowledge within the financial services or banking industry is a plus Some exposure to API concepts e g understanding of what an API is how it s used is required Experience with both Waterfall and Agile Scrum Kanban methodologies Required Skills Business Analysis Fundamentals Solid understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies Requirements Documentation Ability to clearly and concisely document functional and non-functional requirements Analytical Thinking Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Negotiation and Analytical skill to Good understanding of technology stack solution skills Backlog management of data integrity and accuracy issues process and roles in Agile development Preferred Skills Nice-to-Have Experience with banking Finance industry software or systems Knowledge of SQL for data querying and analysis Experience with data visualization tools and data modeling concepts e g Tableau Power BI Understanding of UX UI principles and Experience using tools like Postman for API testing Familiarity with API specification tools e g OpenAPI Swagger Exposure to Agile development methodologies Scrum Kanban Education
