Role Purpose To plan implement and adapt individualized educational programs for children with developmental delays learning disabilities intellectual disabilities autism spectrum disorder and other special needs The special educator works collaboratively with therapists psychologists and families to create inclusive skill-building learning environments that support academic cognitive social and emotional development Key Responsibilities Assess each child s educational and developmental needs using informal and formal tools Develop Individualized Education Plans IEPs tailored to the child s strengths challenges and learning styles Deliver one-on-one or small group instruction focusing on Pre-academic and academic skills Functional academics Communication and social skills Behavioural and life skills Use special education techniques such as task analysis visual schedules multisensory instruction ABA-based strategies if applicable TEACCH structured teaching etc Modify standard curriculum and teaching materials to suit each child s needs and level Monitor and document student progress revise IEP goals as needed Collaborate with therapists OT speech physiotherapy psychologists and caregivers for a multidisciplinary approach Guide and train parents in implementing learning strategies at home Support children during transitions to school higher grades or vocational programs Create a protected engaging inclusive and structured learning environment Maintain regular records reports and documentation for each child Participate in case meetings team discussions and professional development Qualifications Skills Education Diploma B Ed M Ed in Special Education any specialization - ID LD ASD etc from a recognized institution Certification RCI-registered Special Educator preferred Experience 1-3 years of teaching children with special needs early intervention inclusive education or special school settings Freshers with strong training and practical exposure also welcome Knowledge of child development learning differences and educational intervention strategies Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to individual learning styles Patience empathy creativity and strong communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team setting Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 10 369 34 - 23 755 93 per month Work Location In person
