Position Director - Study Abroad Business Location India Employment Type Full-time Reports To Managing Director CEO Role Overview The Director - Study Abroad Business will be responsible for building leading and scaling the study abroad division in India This role requires deep expertise in international higher education across all major destination countries USA UK Canada Australia Europe Asia etc covering the entire student lifecycle right from acquisition and counseling to application filing admissions and visa processing The position demands a strong business leader who can drive revenue growth build global university partnerships ensure operational excellence maintain compliance and deliver outstanding student experiences Key Responsibilities Business Leadership Define implement and oversee the overall strategy growth and profitability of the study abroad vertical Develop yearly business plans revenue targets and operational goals Build lead and mentor a high-performing team across counseling admissions operations and marketing Student Acquisition Outreach Design and execute student acquisition strategies through digital marketing partnerships with schools colleges agents and corporate tie-ups Ensure strong conversion rates from lead to enrollment Develop student-centric initiatives seminars and workshops to increase brand visibility Operations Process Management Oversee counseling application filing document verification and admissions support for all destination countries Ensure compliance with visa guidelines and country-specific requirements Streamline and implement processes for faster turnaround time and higher success rates Visa Compliance Supervise end-to-end visa documentation training mock interviews and successful visa lodgments Stay updated on immigration policies embassy updates and international education regulations Minimize visa rejection ratios through compliance-driven processes Institutional Partnerships Establish and maintain relationships with foreign universities colleges and embassies Drive collaborations for student placement joint programs and marketing tie-ups Represent the company and India operations at international education fairs and events Legal Compliance Audits Ensure full legal compliance with Indian laws labor regulations data protection and foreign education guidelines Oversee internal and external audits for process transparency and regulatory adherence Maintain proper documentation contracts and agreements with students partners and institutions Proactively manage risk mitigation to safeguard the company s reputation and operations Financial P L Ownership Own profit and loss accountability for the study abroad vertical Track performance metrics budgets and targets Identify expansion opportunities in tier-1 tier-2 and international markets Key Requirements 10-15 years of proven leadership experience in the study abroad overseas education consulting industry Strong expertise in multiple destination markets USA UK Canada Australia New Zealand Europe and Asia Deep knowledge of the end-to-end study abroad process including counseling applications and visa processing Familiarity with compliance frameworks audit processes and legal best practices in the education consulting domain Strong track record of student recruitment business development and network growth Ability to lead large teams with excellent people management skills Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills Analytical mindset with a strong focus on performance compliance and student satisfaction Compensation Benefits Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Leadership role with full P L responsibility Opportunity to shape and expand a pan-India and global presence in the international education space Professional growth with exposure to international networks and collaborations Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 50 000 00 - 100 000 00 per month Perks Work from home Education Master s Required Experience Study Abroad Business 10 years Required Visa Processing 5 years Required Study Abroad Counselling 5 years Required International student application processing 5 years Required Business Expansion 5 years Required Study Abroad Legal Compliance 5 years Required Work Location Remote
