Position Title Bartender Department Food Beverage Reports to Bar Manager Food Beverage Manager Job Overview The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a timely courteous and efficient manner They are expected to maintain a high level of customer service ensuring guest satisfaction and adhere to hotel policies and health and safety regulations Key Responsibilities 1 Beverage Preparation and Service - Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes - Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks - Serve drinks to guests in a friendly and professional manner - Take beverage orders from guests and waitstaff 2 Customer Service - Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner - Provide menu recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages - Ensure guests are satisfied with their drinks and service - Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and courteously 3 Bar Maintenance and Cleanliness - Maintain a clean and organized bar area - Clean and sanitize bar equipment and tools - Ensure bar supplies and stocks are replenished as needed - Adhere to all health and safety regulations 4 Cash Handling and Inventory - Handle cash transactions accurately - Keep track of bar inventory and report any shortages - Assist in inventory management and stock control 5 Team Collaboration - Work collaboratively with other staff members - Assist in training new bar staff as needed - Communicate effectively with kitchen and serving staff 6 Compliance and Policies - Follow all hotel policies and procedures - Comply with state and local laws regarding alcohol service - Ensure responsible alcohol service to guests Qualifications - Proven experience as a bartender - Knowledge of mixing garnishing and serving drinks - Ability to keep the bar organized stocked and clean - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace - High school diploma or equivalent relevant training or certification is a plus Physical Requirements - Ability to stand walk and move around during the shift - Ability to lift and carry heavy items such as cases of beverages - Manual dexterity to handle bar equipment Working Conditions - Flexible working hours including nights weekends and holidays - Fast-paced and dynamic work environment Sahara Star Hotel is an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Type Full-time Pay 21 370 68 - 28 470 91 per month Work Location In person
