Team leadership and supervision - Supervise train and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and contractors during the shift - Delegate tasks and assign work orders based on priority urgency and staff skill levels - Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members - Manage shift schedules monitor attendance and approve time-off requests to ensure adequate staffing - Promote a positive high-energy work environment and resolve any conflicts that arise Maintenance and operational duties - Preventive and predictive maintenance Develop and execute PM schedules to maximize equipment uptime and reliability Track maintenance activities using Equipment Management System EMS - Repairs and installations Oversee and when necessary perform hands-on repairs upgrades and new equipment installations Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues - Problem-solving Act as the primary point of contact for all maintenance-related issues during the shift Conduct root-cause analysis for equipment failures to prevent repeat incidents - Inventory management Monitor the inventory of spare parts and tools placing new orders as needed to prevent supply shortages - Reporting Prepare and submit shift reports detailing completed work ongoing issues and equipment performance metrics KPIs - Shift handover Communicate clearly with the incoming shift manager and production teams to ensure a smooth transition of tasks and a clear understanding of pending issues Safety and compliance - Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies procedures and regulatory guidelines - Lead safety initiatives conduct routine inspections and perform risk assessments for all maintenance tasks - Ensure that all documentation related to safety maintenance logs and regulatory compliance is accurately maintained Technical Expertise - Solid knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems - Experience with PLC systems and automated machinery is often a plus - Proficiency with a EMS Equipment Management System
