Experience - 5 - 7 Years in chemical polymer procurement Qualification - Master s Degree MBA M Sc preferred Language Skills -Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory Gender Preference - Female Preferred Role Overview The Purchase Manager will be responsible for strategically sourcing and procuring all raw materials chemicals and ancillary products essential for the continuous and efficient manufacturing of resins and polymers This role is crucial for cost optimization ensuring quality adherence and mitigating supply chain risks The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills deep market intelligence in the chemical sector and proven experience managing complex vendor relationships both domestically and internationally Key Responsibilities 1 Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key chemical raw materials like Acids solvents related to Resins Pigments etc Identify evaluate and qualify new domestic and global suppliers based on quality reliability cost-effectiveness and ethical standards Conduct rigorous market research and price forecasting for chemical commodities to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate price volatility Manage the entire vendor lifecycle including contract negotiation for pricing payment terms and delivery schedules to achieve optimal TCO Total Cost of Ownership 2 Inventory and Supply Chain Management Collaborate closely with the Production Planning and R D teams to accurately forecast demand and align procurement activities with manufacturing schedules Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure continuous supply without incurring excessive carrying costs or stock outs Oversee the entire Purchase Order PO cycle from requisition to final delivery and invoice reconciliation Manage logistics for inbound materials including import documentation customs clearance and coordinating with freight carriers especially for international chemical sourcing 3 Quality and Cost Control Ensure all procured materials meet Aypols stringent quality specifications and compliance standards Work closely with the Quality Control team on material inspection and non-conformance issues Drive significant cost-saving initiatives through strategic negotiation value engineering and alternative material vendor development Maintain accurate purchasing records supplier databases and performance metrics KPIs and report on key functional metrics to management 4 Communication and Reporting Serve as the primary point of contact for all major suppliers and internal stakeholders Ensure seamless and clear communication across teams particularly the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in English and Hindi with vendors and internal teams across different regions Required Profile Qualifications and Skills Education -Master s Degree in Business Administration MBA - Supply Chain Operations M Sc in Chemistry or a related technical management field Experience 5 to 7 years of dedicated experience in Procurement Purchasing Preferably on Raw Material Sourcing in the Chemical Polymer or Petrochemical manufacturing industry Technical Skills - Proficient in ERP systems SAP Oracle Tally for procurement modules Strong competency in MS Excel for spend analysis cost modeling and reporting Language - Fluency in both written and spoken English and Hindi is essential for national vendor management and internal communication Key Competencies - Exceptional Negotiation Skills Financial Acumen Analytical Thinking Vendor Relationship Management and Supply Chain Risk Mitigation Personal Attributes - Highly organized proactive a robust ethical compass and demonstrated leadership skills Job Type Full-time Pay 30 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Work Location In person
