JOB DESCRIPTION - MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER Job Title Mechanical Design Engineer Experience 2-10 Years Department Design Engineering 1 Role Summary The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing developing and validating mechanical components and assemblies using AutoCAD SolidWorks and Solid Edge The role includes concept creation detailed drafting engineering documentation and collaboration with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality engineered products Strong expertise in sheet metal design is essential 2 Key Responsibilities A Design Development Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD SolidWorks and Solid Edge Design sheet metal components enclosures brackets frames and complete assemblies Perform engineering calculations GD T tolerance analysis and ensure overall design accuracy Translate customer requirements into practical and efficient design solutions B Documentation Standards Prepare fabrication drawings assembly drawings and Bills of Materials BOM Maintain revision control design documentation and ensure adherence to standards Ensure all designs comply with industrial codes safety norms and company guidelines C Manufacturing Production Support Coordinate with production purchase and quality teams for design feasibility Validate designs for manufacturability DFM ease of assembly DFA and cost effectiveness Interact with vendors for sheet metal fabrication machining and assembly clarifications D Testing Validation Support prototype development and trial builds Evaluate performance troubleshoot technical issues and implement required improvements 3 Required Skills Expertise Proficiency in AutoCAD SolidWorks and Solid Edge Strong hands-on experience in sheet metal design and fabrication processes Knowledge of GD T engineering calculations materials and mechanical standards Ability to develop clear and accurate technical drawings and specifications Understanding of machining welding and general manufacturing processes 4 Qualifications Diploma BE B Tech in Mechanical Engineering 2-10 years of experience in mechanical design preferably in sheet metal or fabrication-based industries Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 20 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Advantages Food provided Health insurance Leave encashment Provident Fund Work Location In person
