Responsibilities Key Deliverables Job Summary As a Lead Engineer in Electrical Design Development for High Voltage HV Battery Packs you will be responsible for the end-to-end design integration and validation of electrical systems within advanced energy storage solutions This role is critical in the development of safe effective and high-performance battery packs for electric vehicles EVs hybrid systems and stationary energy storage applications You will lead cross-functional efforts to architect electrical systems select components ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and drive innovation in battery management and power distribution Your expertise will contribute to the development of scalable and manufacturable solutions that meet stringent performance thermal and reliability requirements Key Responsibilities System Architecture Design o Lead the electrical design of HV battery packs including cell interconnects busbars contactors fuses and insulation systems o Develop and validate schematics wiring harnesses and PCB layouts for Battery Management Systems BMS current sensors and voltage monitoring circuits o Define system-level electrical architecture including HV and LV interfaces isolation strategies and grounding schemes Component Selection Integration o Select and integrate key components such as relays connectors current sensors pre-charge circuits and HV disconnects o Collaborate with thermal and mechanical teams to ensure optimal packaging and cooling of electrical components Safety Compliance o Ensure compliance with automotive and industrial safety standards e g ISO 26262 IEC 60664 UL 2580 ASIL o Conduct DFMEA and risk assessments for electrical systems and components o Implement robust insulation coordination and creepage clearance analysis for HV systems Testing Validation o Develop and execute electrical validation plans including HV insulation testing continuity checks and fault injection o Support EMC EMI testing and mitigation strategies o Analyse test data and lead root cause investigations for electrical failures Project Leadership Collaboration Coordinate with BMS software mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and production readiness o Interface with suppliers to define requirements and resolve technical issues o Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers in HV system design best practices Experience Experience o 5-8 years - BE B Tech Electrical Electronics Engineering OR o 4-6 years - ME M Tech Electrical Electronics EngineeringIndustry Preferred Qualifications BE or ME General Requirements General Requirements o Strong understanding of HV safety insulation design and battery pack architecture o Proficiency in electrical CAD tools e g Altium AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN o Experience with BMS hardware design and integration o Familiarity with standards like ISO 26262 UN38 3 IEC 62133 and UL 2580 o Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills Job Segment Thermal Engineering Electronics Engineer Design Engineer Electrical Engineering Automotive
