Position Overview The Head of Quality HOD will lead the quality management function for solar cell and module manufacturing ensuring compliance with international standards customer requirements and operational excellence This role involves developing and implementing quality systems driving continuous improvement and leading cross-functional teams to achieve world-class product quality and reliability Key Responsibilities Develop implement and oversee the Quality Management System QMS aligned with ISO IEC UL BIS and other global standards Define and enforce quality policies procedures and KPIs for solar cell and module production lines Lead root cause analysis RCA corrective and preventive actions CAPA and process improvements to minimize defects and enhance yield Oversee inspection testing and validation of raw materials in-process components and finished modules Collaborate with manufacturing R D supply chain and engineering teams to ensure design-to-quality integration Drive supplier quality assurance programs audits and performance evaluations Ensure compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements Lead customer quality interactions manage complaints and support technical audits Build mentor and lead a high-performance quality team across multiple shifts Monitor industry trends benchmark best practices and implement advanced quality tools SPC Six Sigma Lean Report quality performance metrics and improvement initiatives to senior management Qualifications Experience Bachelor s or master s degree in Materials Science Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field 15-20 years of experience in quality management within the solar semiconductor renewable energy manufacturing industry Proven experience in solar cell and module process quality control Solid knowledge of IEC UL BIS ISO 9001 14001 45001 and Lean Six Sigma methodologies Hands-on experience with statistical process control SPC FMEA RCA tools and reliability testing Track record of managing cross-functional quality initiatives and achieving measurable improvements Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills Experience with advanced solar technologies PERC TOPCon HJT Bifacial etc Familiarity with ERP MES and digital quality monitoring systems Six Sigma Black Belt Lean certification Customer-facing experience in utility export and large EPC projects Key Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence Ability to lead by example and inspire teams across all functional levels Strategic thinker with attention to detail Job Snapshot Updated Date 23-09-2025 Job ID AvaadaJob1185 Department Cell Quality Location Butibori Maharashtra India Experience 15 - 20 Years Employee Type Permanent Employee Sub Type Probationer
