Project Role Application Support Engineer Project Role Description Act as software detectives provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems Must have skills Red Hat OS Administration Good to have skills Microsoft Azure IaaS Infrastructure Automation Minimum 3 year s of experience is required Educational Qualification 15 years full time education Summary As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner you will provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products You will be responsible for configuring services running on various platforms and implementing technology at the operating system-level Your role will involve L1 and L2 troubleshooting and providing hardware software support across server and network areas Key Responsibilities A Monitoring various hardware issues ie CPU failure CPU Fan Failure Memory Module failure RAID failure etc B Experience in Managing and Monitoring VMs Storage and switches C Managing VM lifecycle from Build to Decommission D Managing OS native services NTP DNS LDAP JSCAPE Satellite EPA E Install new rebuild existing servers and configure hardware peripherals services settings directories storage etc in accordance with standards and project operational requirements E Experience in Linux OS installation Software and Patch management Technical Experience A Should have strong Redhat Linux administration B Administering Linux patching tools like Redhat Satellite C Administering Centralized user authentication setup for software like Redhat directory server Open LDAP D Experience in Linux OS installation Software and Patch management E Basic Scripting Knowledge Shell Ansible F Should know how to debug troubleshoot CPU Memory and disk issues G Good understanding of Backup Storage H Experience in Remote Server Management using DRAC I Managing Linux I Should have good understanding of Networking aspects i e TCP IP stack troubleshooting routing and networking connectivity issue J Good knowledge about the Linux system files boot process and Run levels K Experience in Remote Server Management using DRAC Qualified Attributes A Ability to work independently to manage large group of resources B Ability to manage the details of compliance with policies standards and industry frameworks C Be able to work under pressure in a challenging environment Educational Qualification UG BCA in Computers BSc in Any Specialization BTech BE in Any Specialization Additional Information Should be comfortable working in 24x7 regime with on-call support 15 years full time education
