Role Overview The Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing high-quality electrical and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and or SolidWorks The role requires strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to translate concepts into precise engineering designs that support manufacturing installation and project execution Key Responsibilities Electrical Design Prepare detailed electrical drawings including SLDs wiring diagrams cable schedules panel layouts and control schematics Create GA drawings and fabrication drawings for control panels junction boxes and instrumentation layouts Interpret electrical standards customer specifications and engineering inputs to produce accurate designs Mechanical Design Develop mechanical 2D and 3D models assembly drawings fabrication drawings and BOMs using SolidWorks AutoCAD Design enclosures mechanical structures panel cabinets brackets and related components Ensure drawings follow correct tolerances material specifications and manufacturability guidelines Cross-Functional Responsibilities Collaborate with project engineers production procurement and quality teams to ensure drawing accuracy and feasibility Update drawings as per revision changes engineering feedback or customer comments Maintain drawing libraries templates and CAD standards within the organization Support engineering and production teams with technical documentation Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards IEC ISO ANSI etc Required Skills Qualifications Diploma Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation or related engineering fields 1-2 years of experience in drafting or design using AutoCAD and or SolidWorks Strong knowledge of engineering drawings GD T manufacturing processes and industrial standards Ability to read and interpret P IDs electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams Proficiency in 2D drafting AutoCAD and 3D modeling SolidWorks Valuable communication teamwork and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy in drawings Preferred Qualifications Experience in automation control panels machinery design or fabrication industries Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing practices such as sheet metal machining and assembly Familiarity with PLM ERP or document control systems What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits Opportunity to work on innovative engineering projects Growth-oriented environment with training and skill development Stable and collaborative workplace culture Job Type Full-time Pay From 18 000 00 per month Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Provident Fund Ability to commute relocate Madipakkam Chennai Tamil Nadu Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Preferred Education Diploma Preferred Experience total work 1 year Preferred Work Location In person
