Title Site Planning Engineer Location Remote Hybrid options can be specified if needed Job Type Contract Basis Role Description We are seeking a skilled Site Planning Engineer to support the development of conceptual and initial site plans for restaurants hotels and various retail establishments The ideal candidate should be proficient in using GPS tools Google Earth and interpreting site data when CAD files are unavailable This role requires solid analytical abilities attention to detail and the capability to translate client instructions into accurate site layouts Key Responsibilities Prepare initial site plans for commercial developments including restaurants hotels and retail projects Use GPS Google Earth and provided surveys often in PDF format to extract site dimensions and develop accurate layouts Interpret survey data such as meets and bounds even when precision varies Create site layouts based on client specifications including Building size Landscape percentage Target number of parking spaces Incorporate client sketches instructions and redline feedback into revised plans Conduct basic zoning and code research to meet jurisdictional requirements related to Setbacks Parking space ratios Drive aisle widths Fire code clearances Fire truck turning radii Other local building and safety regulations Prepare final site plans once test-fit layouts are approved Requirements Proven experience in site planning civil engineering or related fields Strong understanding of land development concepts and zoning regulations Ability to read and interpret surveys including PDF-only survey files Proficiency with Google Earth GPS tools and basic drafting tools software Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to translate client sketches and instructions into professional layouts Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients and internal teams Preferred Qualifications Experience working on commercial development projects Familiarity with local municipal zoning and building code research CAD experience AutoCAD or similar is a plus but not mandatory Job Types Contractual Temporary Freelance Contract length 6 months Pay 25 000 00 - 75 000 00 per month Work Location Remote
