This role is for one of the Weekday s clients Min Experience 15 years Location Bengaluru Karnataka JobType full-time As product adoption rapidly scales we are consolidating three major engineering domains Front-End Platform Data Platform and Core Infrastructure under a single leader to drive alignment reliability and delivery speed This role will define the platform vision guide a cross-functional engineering organization and own the roadmap spanning developer experience global scalability and production reliability A key initiative will include leading the Data Residency program to ensure customer data remains compliant across geopolitical regions Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile Technical Strategist You bring deep experience in modern cloud-native engineering and are able to lead architecture discussions across Cloud AWS GCP or Azure IaC Terraform Pulumi CloudFormation Containers Orchestration Kubernetes Docker CI CD GitHub Actions Jenkins GitLab CI etc Data Stack Warehousing Snowflake BigQuery orchestration Airflow dbt Dagster Frontend Platforms Understanding of frameworks build tooling and DX challenges Product-Minded Leader Treats platform teams as internal product teams builds roadmaps prioritizes based on impact and communicates clearly with technical and business stakeholders Exceptional Communicator Can translate complex technical vision into executive-level alignment and team-level execution Key Responsibilities Platform Strategy Roadmap Build a 12-18 month strategy enabling engineering velocity across micro-frontends microservices infra automation data pipelines and multi-region deployments Front-End Platform Leadership Create standardized frameworks reusable component libraries and developer tooling to improve speed and quality of Vue TypeScript apps Data Platform Residency Implement data governance lineage ingestion standards and multi-region architecture to fulfill EU US and APAC residency requirements Core Infra Cloud Ownership Manage Kubernetes clusters networking IaC Terraform observability and cloud cost optimization Developer Experience Reliability Advance CI CD progressive delivery chaos engineering observability and SRE best practices Security Compliance Partner with Security and Legal on SOC 2 HIPAA GDPR CCPA and policy-as-code frameworks Team Leadership Grow coach and scale platform SRE and data engineering teams while fostering a high-trust ownership-led engineering culture Executive Communication Convert platform performance metrics DORA metrics MTTR cost uptime into insights for Product Engineering and Leadership stakeholders Requirements 15 years in engineering with 5 years leading Platform SRE or Cloud teams at scale in a SaaS environment Proven leadership across frontend platforms data platforms and cloud infrastructure Expertise in Kubernetes IaC CI CD and distributed systems Hands-on depth in TypeScript Node Terraform Helm and event-driven architectures Experience deploying multi-region or data-residency architectures in regulated environments Solid people leadership and ability to scale multi-disciplinary engineering teams Experience operating in compliance-oriented ecosystems SOC 2 HIPAA GDPR etc Bonus Points Experience leading managers multi-layer org structure FinOps cloud cost optimization expertise Familiarity with modern front-end tooling Vue Vite Monorepos
