Job description Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Freight Forwarding Division The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records specific to freight operations ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the finance team with daily and monthly reporting activities This position requires robust knowledge of freight forwarding financial transactions cost structures and billing processes Key Responsibilities Record and maintain financial transactions related to freight forwarding customs and logistics operations Prepare and process invoices receipts journal entries and credit debit notes in a timely manner Reconcile customer vendor and agent accounts ensuring accuracy of freight charges and related expenses Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to verify shipment costs billing and supporting documentation Prepare monthly management reports including profit and loss statements cost analysis and variance reports Monitor accounts receivable and payable ensuring timely collections and payments Assist with annual budgeting forecasting and financial planning for the freight division Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial data and documentation Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory regulations Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance workflow Qualifications Experience Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline Minimum 2-4 years of accounting experience preferably within the freight forwarding logistics or shipping industry Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost allocation methods in logistics operations Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting ERP software e g Tally QuickBooks SAP or similar Excellent attention to detail accuracy and analytical thinking Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Work Location In person
