Analyst Risk Brand Protection R BP Are you passionate about risk compliance Does due-diligence and regulatory procedure adherence sound like something you would do Then read on Job Purpose The objective of the GIMS audit process is to help protect DTTL Canada and their people from Independence problems This is accomplished by conducting timely effective and effective personal independence audits This position is part of a group that provide assurance to firm leadership and other outside regulatory bodies that the firm has specific quality control procedures in place to effectively monitor our people s adherence to DTTL Canada Independence policies and other regulatory requirements An independence audit consists of obtaining a significant amount of personal financial information from individuals being audited and then subjecting that information to audit for potential violations of the independence rules The Group seeks to identify and resolve exceptions in a timely manner with a constant focus on customer service Work you will do As an R BP Analyst you should be able to consistently apply a base of knowledge to matters that arise identify and resolve exceptions to policies and professional standards in a timely manner Your key responsibilities would include Perform specific portions of personal independence audits of the DTTL Canada Partners Directors and Managers by applying a detailed audit process and reviewing submitted audit materials for compliance with DTTL Canada Independence policies Identify financial interests in submitted audit materials Research financial interest entities with Firm tools Deloitte Entity Search Compliance DESC System CRM and CMS and the Internet Document the results of procedures and potential Independence policy exceptions Work closely with the other independence team members develop best practices and collectively develop a base of knowledge used to consistently address independence scenarios that arise Manage multiple auditees simultaneously track progress and report to local management their progress and any issues that arise Effectively communicate with local and Canada peers reviewers and management Develop a strong working knowledge of DTTL Canada Independence policies to render a conclusion on potential exceptions identified during the audit Deloitte in Canada Deloitte LLP one of Canada s leading professional services firms provides audit tax consulting and financial advisory services to a wide range of Canadian and international clients Deloitte LLP is the Canadian member firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited which is a network of member firms each of which is a legally separate and independent entity Explore Deloitte Canada for more information The team The R BP group plays a critical role in enhancing preserving and protecting the reputation of the Deloitte organization Our group is focused on strategic confidential and regulatory risk matters which include ensuring Independence of the organization Partners Directors Senior Managers and Managers apart from conducting a host of compliance monitoring activities for all the professionals in the U S India and other member firm offices The Centre of Excellence comprises various teams operating databases with client and affiliate information monitoring conflicts of interest monitoring data privacy and monitoring investments of organization personnel The group supports the Deloitte U S National Office as well as global Deloitte member firms We are in an internal Deloitte U S Firms professional service position that supports member firms of the Deloitte organization Functions within R BP include Independence Operations Independence Audits Conflicts Independence Representations Discipline and Ethics Compliance amongst others The team interacts coordinates frequently with other members across the member firms risk and brand protection groups to effectively serve Deloitte professionals Qualifications and experience Required Educational Qualification B Com CA Inter with 2-3 years of experience Ability to become well versed in the Firm s Independence policies and other related firm policies Excellent verbal and written business communication skills prior exposure to international business correspondence a plus Ability to apply Firm policies to various fact patterns Ability to follow work programs with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to analyze problems and facilitate solutions Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion Excellent organizational aptitude and interpersonal skills Ability to quickly learn technical tools including Microsoft Office applications and other database tools Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Should be flexible on work timings and may be required to work outside of normal business hours during peak periods Location Hyderabad Work Timings 2 p m -
