Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws rules and regulations Factories Act State Factory Rules OSHA standards etc Develop implement and maintain safety policies SOPs work permits and secure operating procedures Conduct regular safety inspections audits and risk assessments across the plant Identify unsafe acts and conditions and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions CAPA Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment HIRA for all plant activities Ensure implementation of engineering administrative and PPE controls to mitigate risks Plan and conduct safety induction and periodic refresher training for employees contractors and visitors Investigate accidents near misses and unsafe occurrences Ensure contractors comply with plant safety rules and permit-to-work systems Monitor contractor activities and ensure safe working practices Enforce PPE compliance for employees contractors and visitors Participate in safety committee meetings and drive safety initiatives Recommend improvements to safety systems and processes Support ISO 45001 EMS EHS audits and certifications
