Job Title- Sr Purchase Engineer - Identify evaluate and qualify suppliers for raw materials fabricated parts bought-out components and engineering equipment Prepare RFQs evaluate and compare quotations technically and commercially and negotiate payment terms pricing and delivery schedules Develop and maintain solid supplier relationships to ensure reliability quality and competitive pricing To monitor market trends and prevailing material rates to ensure cost optimization Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations and resolve supplier issues related to quality delivery or documentation To conduct technical review of engineering drawings BOMs and technical specifications to identify procurement requirements Coordinate with design production and quality teams to ensure purchased items meet technical and compliance standards Drive cost-reduction initiatives through value engineering alternative sourcing and bulk negotiations Ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time to meet project timelines Monitor quality certificates test reports and compliance documents e g MTCs inspection reports statutory documents Maintain purchase records order tracking logs and supplier databases Ensure adherence to procurement procedures ISO QMS documentation and contract terms Coordinate logistics transportation and follow-up to ensure smooth material flow Work Experience- The candidate must be a graduate in Mechanical Engineering Must possess 2-6 years of experience in procurement or purchase engineering preferably in process equipment fabrication EPC or industrial machinery sectors Strong understanding of manufacturing processes fabrication machining welding and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Strong negotiation and communication skills Job Type Full-time Application Question s Do you have a bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering How many years of experience do you have in procurement or purchase engineering Do you have a strong understanding of fabrication and welding processes Work Location In person
