Responsibilities Plant Operations Oversee the daily operations of the hardening plant to ensure smooth production of heat-treated sheet metal components Process Monitoring Monitor and control thermal processing parameters e g temperature time cooling rates to achieve desired material properties Equipment Maintenance Maintain and repair heat treatment furnaces quench tanks and other associated equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime Quality Control Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that hardened sheet metal parts meet specifications and industry standards Process Optimization Continuously analyze and improve hardening processes to enhance efficiency reduce costs and improve product quality Safety Compliance Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements within the plant Technical Support Provide technical guidance to operators and technicians helping to troubleshoot production issues Inventory Management Manage the staging and movement of materials for the hardening process Documentation Develop and maintain documentation of manufacturing processes and best practices related to hardening Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Metallurgical Engineering or a related field Experience Proven experience in manufacturing with a focus on heat treatment and sheet metal fabrication processes Technical Skills Solid understanding of metallurgy heat treatment processes and the properties of sheet metals Equipment Knowledge Familiarity with various types of heat treatment furnaces and associated equipment including troubleshooting capabilities Problem-Solving Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges in the hardening process Safety Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment Job Type Full-time Pay 400 000 00 - 600 000 00 per year Work Location In person
