Project Role Software Development Engineer Project Role Description Analyze design code and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients Perform maintenance enhancements and or development work Must have skills Sybase Database Good to have skills NA Minimum 3 year s of experience is required Educational Qualification 15 years full time education Summary As a Software Development Engineer you will engage in a agile work environment where you will analyze design code and test various components of application code for multiple clients We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sybase ASE SRS Database Administrator for the project The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of hands-on experience in day-to-day database support with a strong focus on performance troubleshooting and operational excellence You will play a critical role in maintaining the performance availability and security of our mission-critical database environments Roles Responsibilities - Provide 24x7 support for Sybase ASE and Sybase Replication Server SRS environments including participation in rotating shifts and on-call duties - Administer and maintain Sybase ASE and SRS databases across development QA and production environments - Perform daily health checks monitoring and incident resolution to ensure database stability - Execute key maintenance activities such as reorgs update statistics DBCC commands index management and resource allocation - Proactively identify and resolve performance issues through - Query analysis and optimization - Server parameter tuning - Index and statistics management Professional Technical Skills - Must To Have Skills Proficiency in Sybase Database - Implement and manage robust backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity - Collaborate with application development SAP Basis and infrastructure teams to support projects and resolve issues - Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents across multiple environments - Perform Sybase ASE upgrades and patching as needed - Manage user access roles and permissions to maintain database security and compliance - Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations procedures and operational standards - Monitoring memory CPU utilization disk utilization locks deadlocks runtime of queries Additional Information - The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Sybase Database - Proficiency in T-SQL stored procedures and query optimization is a must - Experience with UNIX Linux environments and shell scripting is a must - Knowledge of monitoring tools alerting systems and incident management platforms - Creating database as needed Creation of Devices Databases Segments - This position is based at our Bengaluru office - A 15 years full time education is required 15 years full time education
