Role Description This is a remote internship role focused on YouTube channel growth for This Week in AI. The YouTube Growth intern will assist in planning, producing, and optimizing video content that aligns with the newsletter’s topics and audience. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating on content ideas, supporting video production and editing, publishing videos, writing titles and descriptions, and optimizing thumbnails and metadata for discoverability.

The role also involves monitoring channel analytics, identifying growth opportunities, and experimenting with content formats, posting schedules, and audience engagement tactics (such as comments and community posts).



Interns will work closely with the core team to ensure the YouTube presence reflects the brand’s voice and supports subscriber and community growth. Qualifications

Robust skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with the ability to create clear, engaging YouTube-ready content.

Understanding of YouTube platform dynamics, including basic YouTube SEO, analytics, and channel optimization.

Effective Communication skills for collaborating with the team and translating complex AI topics into accessible video content.

Foundational Marketing skills, particularly in audience growth, content promotion, and social media awareness.

Interest in AI, startups, or entrepreneurship and willingness to learn about applied AI topics.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and adapt based on feedback and performance data.

Experience with common video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) is beneficial.

Prior experience with content creation, YouTube channels, or digital communities is a plus but not required.
