Role Description The Workshop Floor Supervisor role at Gurudev Motors is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The supervisor oversees daily operations on the workshop floor, including job allocation, workflow planning, and monitoring repair and service activities to ensure quality and timely completion.

Responsibilities include coordinating with service advisors and technicians, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards, safety protocols, and documentation requirements.



The role involves supporting customer service by clarifying technical issues, managing escalations, and helping to maintain high satisfaction levels. The supervisor also contributes to process improvements, inventory and tool management, and guiding the team to meet productivity and performance targets.

Qualifications Solid Communication skills to coordinate with technicians, service advisors, and customers.

Customer Service skills to handle queries, manage expectations, and support a positive workshop experience.

Training and Coaching abilities to develop workshop staff, conduct skill-building sessions, and mentor new team members.

Sales-related skills to support upselling of services, accessories, and maintenance packages where appropriate.

Experience in automotive workshop operations, preferably with passenger cars and authorized dealer networks.

Knowledge of basic automotive diagnostics, repair processes, and manufacturer service standards.

Ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Diploma or degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience in a supervisory workshop role is highly valued.
