This role is for engineers who have worked on 4G/5G wireless protocol stack development but are open to working on legacy 2G/3G technologies. Many telecom companies continue to maintain and enhance 2G/3G networks for operators worldwide, making these skills valuable.
What they're looking for
Experience: 3–6 years
Location: Bangalore (5 days/week from office)
Technical Skills
Robust C/C++ programming with solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Experience in wireless telecom protocol development based on 3GPP standards. Hands-on debugging of issues found during: 3GPP conformance testing Customer field trials In-house testing Interoperability (IOT) testing Experience analyzing logs, identifying root causes, and fixing protocol stack issues. Knowledge of 2G (GSM) Layer 1 Controller,
3G (UMTS), or IRAT (Inter Radio Access Technology) modules that manage mobility between 2G/3G/4G networks.
Candidates currently working on 4G/5G are welcome, provided they're willing to work on 2G/3G development.
