Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VMC Programmer with strong expertise in NX-

CAM programming and hands-on experience on Cosmos VMC machines with Mitsubishi controllers. The ideal candidate should also have exposure to Fanuc and Sinumerik controllers, bringing versatility and adaptability to complex mold-making operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Programming & Process Development
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis / 5-axis VMC machining using

NX-CAM.

- Write, review, and implement programs for Mitsubishi-controlled Cosmos VMCs

(ISO G/M Code).

- Optimize programs to reduce cycle times, improve tool life, and enhance part quality.
- Simulate and validate toolpaths to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up Cosmos VMC machines, including fixtures, workholding, and tooling.
- Select appropriate cutters, feeds, and speeds for different mold steels and materials.
- Perform first-piece trials, inspect results, and adjust programs as needed.
- Operate machines during prototype and production runs, ensuring precision and consistency.
- Quality & Troubleshooting
- Inspect machined components using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM,

etc.) for FAI and production runs.





- Apply GD&T; principles to ensure high dimensional accuracy.
- Identify and resolve issues related to programming, tooling, or machining processes.
- Ensure adherence to mold industry standards for surface finish and tolerances.
- Documentation & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate records of programs, setup sheets, and tooling specifications.
- Support design, manufacturing, and quality teams with technical input and troubleshooting.
- Follow AS9100 / ISO documentation practices and company safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education: ITI, Diploma, or B.E. in Mechanical / Tool & Die Making or related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in VMC programming and operation within the mold-making industry.
- Technical Expertise:
- NX-CAM programming proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Cosmos VMC (Mitsubishi controllers).
- Additional exposure to Fanuc and Sinumerik controllers.
- Solid understanding of mold steels, machining strategies, and finishing techniques.
- Key Competencies:
- Robust blueprint and CAD model interpretation.
- GD&T; knowledge.
- Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to precision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
