Company Description Minera Group is a fully integrated steel and mining company headquartered in Bellary, Karnataka, operating an end-to-end value chain from iron ore mining to finished steel and captive power generation. Since 2005, the group has expanded its capabilities to include a 0.8 MTPA iron ore pellet plant, sponge iron kilns, induction furnaces for MS billets, and a 12 MW captive power plant based on waste heat recovery and renewable energy. Role Description The Vice President role at Minera Group is a full-time, in office position based in India, responsible for overseeing strategic, operational, and commercial performance across the company’s steel, mining, and trading businesses. This role will lead cross-functional teams to drive production efficiency, supply chain reliability, and safety and compliance standards, while aligning operations with long-term growth objectives.
The Vice
President will collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape business strategy, evaluate investments, manage key stakeholder relationships, and support domestic and international business development.
Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing plant and mine performance metrics, guiding process improvements, managing risk, and ensuring that sustainability and community commitments are integrated into operational decisions. The role also involves mentoring leaders, strengthening governance and reporting frameworks, and representing the company in key customer, partner, and regulatory engagements.
Qualifications
Extensive leadership experience in steel, mining, metals, or heavy industry operations, with proven ability to manage complex, multi-site value chains.
Strong background in strategy development, business planning, and P&L; management, including experience with capital projects and investment decisions.
Deep understanding of operations management, production planning, and supply chain and logistics within industrial or commodity-focused environments.
Experience with regulatory compliance, health, safety, and environmental standards, including familiarity with sustainable mining and energy practices.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead diverse teams, drive organizational change, and foster a culture of accountability and performance.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging customers, partners, and government or regulatory bodies.
Comfort working in cross-border business settings, preferably with exposure to international trading, commodity markets, or global partnerships.
