Company seeking a Senior Investment Analyst for its SME Fund in Mumbai. This is a high-impact role involving deal evaluation, anchor investment structuring, and portfolio management across listed and unlisted SMEs. The ideal candidate will bring deep analytical skills, hands-on deal-making experience, and a solid understanding of India’s SME ecosystem. You will be part of a agile platform that blends early-stage investing experience with a growing focus on SME and pre-IPO opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Source, assess, and execute investments in listed and unlisted SMEs through detailed business, financial, and industry due diligence.

Lead and negotiate anchor investments across both private placements and public market deals, ensuring favourable terms, valuation anchoring, and strategic positioning.

Track the performance of investee companies, support promoters post-investment, and identify exit opportunities via IPOs, secondary sales, or M&A.;

Leverage relationships with promoters,



merchant bankers, brokers, and co-investors to strengthen deal flow and market intelligence.

Candidate Profile

5+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, SME investing, or buy-side roles.

Demonstrated experience in evaluating and executing SME investments (listed and unlisted).

Proven track record in structuring and leading anchor or strategic investments.

Strong command of financial modelling, due diligence, and investment memos.

Understanding of capital markets, fundraising dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.

Preferred

CFA/CA/MBA (Finance) from a Tier-1 institute preferred but not mandatory

Experience working with merchant bankers and in IPO-bound transactions.

Familiarity with sectors such as manufacturing, B2B services, industrials, or consumer SMEs.
