Company Description National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways & Coasts (NTCPWC) is a dedicated hub for technological innovation in the port and maritime sector. Serving as the technology arm of the Ministry of Shipping, it supports ports, the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), and other institutions with advanced technical solutions. NTCPWC addresses complex industry challenges through scientific support, applied research, and technology transfer.

The centre focuses on indigenous, cutting-edge technologies that strengthen national capabilities in ports, waterways, and coastal infrastructure. Interns join a mission-driven environment that connects research, engineering, and real-world maritime applications.

Role Description The Unity Developer Intern is a full-time, in office role based in Kanchipuram. The intern will assist in designing, developing, and testing interactive simulations and visualizations using Unity for maritime and port-related applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing gameplay and interaction logic, collaborating on level design for training or simulation environments, and integrating assets such as models, textures, and animations.

The intern will work with the team to prototype mobile and AR experiences, optimize performance, and debug issues. Documentation of code, participation in reviews,



and coordination with engineers and researchers to translate technical requirements into functional Unity projects are core aspects of the role. Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for developing and maintaining Unity-based applications.

Candidates should possess skills in Mobile Game Development for building interactive experiences and simulations on mobile platforms.

Candidates should possess skills in Augmented Reality (AR) for creating immersive and context-aware applications relevant to ports and waterways.

Candidates should possess skills in Level Design for structuring training scenarios, simulation environments, and user flows within Unity.

Familiarity with Unity engine, C#, and version control systems (such as Git) is highly beneficial.

Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

Ability to work on-site in Kanchipuram, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Interest in maritime, ports, or infrastructure sectors and openness to learning domain-specific concepts will be an advantage.
