About the Role

We're looking for a transportation sourcing expert to own our end-to-end freight procurement strategy across India and the subcontinent. This role is about building a strong, localized vendor network — moving away from costly broker dependency and toward directly contracted regional transporters, data-driven rate benchmarking, and sharp cost governance.

If you know the Indian transport market inside-out — fleet clusters, transport hubs, freight corridors — and love turning that knowledge into real cost savings, this role is built for you.

What You'll Own

- Vendor Localization – Map transport markets state-by-state; replace national aggregators/brokers with directly onboarded local & regional fleet owners.
- Cost Optimization – Drive freight rate negotiations, benchmark lane-wise market rates, and lead savings initiatives (backhaul utilization, route consolidation, multi-vendor bidding).
- Cost Visibility – Build rate cards, MIS, and dashboards for lane-wise, vendor-wise, and vehicle-type cost transparency.
- Vendor & Contract Management – Draft SLAs,



monitor vendor performance, ensure statutory compliance (e-way bill, GST, permits).
- Stakeholder Management – Partner with Operations, Finance, Sales & Control Tower to align sourcing with business goals.
- Team Leadership – Mentor sourcing executives and regional vendor coordinators.

What We're Looking For

- Graduate in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business/Engineering; MBA/PGDM preferred
- 10–15 years in freight procurement, transport sourcing, or vendor management (3PL, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics/courier background preferred)
- Solid hands-on knowledge of Indian transport corridors & regional fleet networks
- Data-driven negotiation skills — comfortable building cost models & rate cards
- Advanced Excel + working knowledge of ERP/TMS systems
- Willingness to travel extensively across regions
