Role Overview :
As a Threat Hunter, you will operate at the forefront of our security operations center in Vadodara, proactively identifying sophisticated adversaries that bypass traditional automated defenses. You will work closely with security analysts, incident response teams, and system architects to dissect complex attack vectors and harden our defensive posture. Your efforts will directly impact the resilience of our clients' infrastructure, ensuring that emerging threats are neutralized before they can compromise business continuity or sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct proactive, hypothesis-driven threat hunting exercises to uncover hidden malicious activity within enterprise networks and cloud environments.
- Analyze complex datasets using SIEM and log management platforms to identify anomalies that indicate potential security breaches.
- Develop and refine detection logic and custom correlation rules to improve the efficacy of existing security monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with the incident response team to provide deep-dive forensic analysis and actionable intelligence during active security investigations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current security controls by simulating adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures to identify and remediate coverage gaps.
- Translate threat intelligence reports into actionable defensive strategies to protect organizational assets from evolving global cyber threats.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in threat hunting methodologies, including the ability to map activities to the MITRE ATT&CK; framework.
- Proficiency in leveraging SIEM platforms like Splunk for advanced log analysis, dashboard creation, and automated alerting.
- Robust technical command of SQL for database querying and PowerShell for automating security tasks and system administration.
- Proven ability to perform vulnerability management and ethical hacking assessments to identify and mitigate systemic security weaknesses.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical findings to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Vadodara, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain a high-security posture.
- Possession of relevant industry certifications such as GCTI or equivalent professional credentials is highly preferred.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, or incident response roles.
