The Data Modeler Architect will serve as the enterprise authority on Teradata-based data modelling and architecture , driving the design, optimization, and governance of large-scale data platforms. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Teradata FSLDM, SQL performance tuning, and metadata management, ensuring robust, scalable, and business-aligned data solutions.

Teradata-Centric Architecture

- Lead the design, implementation, and management of Teradata FSLDM frameworks.
- Optimize Teradata SQL queries, utilities, and workloads for performance and scalability.
- Drive data warehousing initiatives leveraging Teradata technologies, including medallion architecture and enterprise data platforms.
- Provide expert guidance on Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, BTEQ, etc.) and performance tuning strategies.

Data Modelling & Metadata Management

- Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with enterprise standards.
- Ensure consistency and compliance with data modelling principles across projects.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for data models, mappings, metadata, and governance standards .




- Contribute to metadata management and governance frameworks , ensuring data quality and lineage.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into Teradata-driven data solutions .
- Identify and resolve data quality, modelling, and metadata issues proactively.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and data engineers in Teradata best practices.

Experience

- Experience: 18–23 years in enterprise data modelling, metadata management, and architecture.
- Tools Expertise: Proficiency in Erwin, ER Studio , or equivalent modelling tools.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced expertise in Teradata FSLDM and Teradata database technologies.
- Solid SQL development and optimization skills.
- Deep knowledge of Teradata utilities and performance tuning.
- Exposure to enterprise data platforms and medallion architecture .
- Strategic leadership role with enterprise-wide responsibility for Teradata-driven data modelling and governance .
