:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our growing offshore engineering team for a leading US-based client, in Bengaluru. This is a client-facing leadership role: you will spend a significant portion of your time at the clients office, acting as the primary point of contact between the client and our delivery team. You will own team deliverables end to end, manage team performance, strengthen the client relationship, and identify opportunities to grow the engagement.

Key Responsibilities :

1.

Delivery

Ownership :

- Own end-to-end delivery of team commitments planning, execution, quality, and timelines across sprints and releases.
- Anticipate delivery risks and dependencies; proactively communicate status, escalations, and mitigation plans to client and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure engineering quality and best practices (code reviews, CI/CD, testing discipline) are consistently followed by the team.

2. Team Leadership & Performance :

- Serve as the direct reporting manager for the offshore engineering team in Bengaluru.
- Manage team performance: set goals, provide regular feedback, run performance reviews, and build growth plans for team members.
- Coach and mentor engineers; drive skill development in backend engineering, cloud, and AI-assisted development.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ramp-up as the team scales; retain and motivate top talent.

3.

Client

Relationship & Presence :

- Work primarily out of the clients office in Bengaluru, building trusted day-to-day relationships with client engineering leaders and product stakeholders.
- Represent the team in client forums sprint reviews, roadmap discussions, and leadership check-ins.
- Provide reliable overlap with US Pacific (PST) hours for client syncs, stand-ups,



and stakeholder meetings.

Growth :

- Identify and shape opportunities to expand the engagement new workstreams, additional teams, or new capability areas.
- Partner with account leadership on proposals, staffing plans, and account growth strategy.

Required Skills &

Experience :

- 15 years of overall software engineering experience, including 3 years managing engineering teams (815 engineers).
- Solid hands-on background in backend technologies, primarily Java and/or Python able to review designs, guide technical decisions, and engage credibly in technical discussions.
- Good working exposure to the AWS stack (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch) and cloud-native architectures.
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent).
- Solid conceptual understanding of agentic AI LLMs, AI agents, tool use, RAG, and related patterns sufficient to understand the teams work and hold informed discussions with the team and the client.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles managing stakeholder expectations, status reporting, and escalations in an onsite/offshore delivery model.
- Strong grasp of Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), estimation, and release planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with US-based stakeholders and providing PST-overlap availability.

Nice to Have :

- Prior experience working with or at large product companies, ideally in fintech or SaaS domains.
- Hands-on exposure to building or delivering agentic AI / GenAI solutions in production.
- Experience growing an account or practice within an IT services / consulting environment.
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect / Developer).
