Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead who can design and deliver enterprise applications combining microservices, cloud platforms and Generative AI capabilities. The role requires strong Java or Python engineering experience, hands-on implementation of GenAI solutions, customer-facing solutioning capability and the ability to convert business discussions into architecture and detailed technical specifications. The candidate will lead design discussions, mentor developers, review code and designs, estimate delivery, manage technical risks and communicate solution approaches to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-quality software solutions. Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, estimate effort, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Development & Delivery: Actively contribute to software development, troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure timely, high quality delivery of assigned features and modules.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide developers through technical challenges, encourage knowledge sharing, support onboarding of new team members, and foster continuous learning within the team.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Project Managers to deliver high quality software solutions.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Promote engineering excellence by driving code quality, automation, performance optimization, security best practices, and continuous process improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical progress, project risks, dependencies, and solution approaches effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.

Working Relationships:

- Reporting To: Engineering Manager / Delivery Manager / Project Manager
- Internal Stakeholders: Architects, Product Owners, Development Teams, QA Teams, DevOps Teams, Business Analysts
- External Stakeholders: Clients

Technical Skills:

- 1. Strong hands-on proficiency in Java or Python is mandatory. The candidate should be able to design and review production-grade REST APIs and microservices.



Working knowledge of both Java and Python is preferred because enterprise GenAI solutions may use Java for application integration and Python for AI orchestration and model services.
- 2. Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise software applications.
- 3. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Software Engineering principles, and coding best practices.

Experience with REST APIs, Microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

- 5. Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern application architecture.

Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- 8.

Experience in effort estimation, technical design discussions, and code reviews.

- 9. Hands-on experience designing and implementing at least one enterprise GenAI solution is mandatory. The candidate should be able to explain their individual contribution, architecture, technology choices, production challenges, evaluation approach and measurable outcome.

Academic Qualifications &

Experience Required:

Educational Qualification:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.

Relevant Experience:

- 46 years of overall software development experience.
- Proven experience in designing and developing enterprise software applications.
- Experience leading small technical teams or mentoring developers.
- Strong hands-on coding experience with modern development frameworks and tools.
- Experience in effort estimation, technical design discussions, and code reviews.




- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing at least one enterprise GenAI solution is mandatory. The candidate should be able to explain their individual contribution, architecture, technology choices, production challenges, evaluation approach and measurable outcome.

Mandatory technical skills:

- Hands-on experience using enterprise LLM APIs or locally deployed language models.
- Experience building RAG or agent-based applications.
- Strong understanding of System Design, including scalability, high availability, caching, asynchronous processing, messaging systems, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of embeddings, vector databases, chunking and retrieval.
- Experience with prompt engineering, structured outputs and tool/function calling.
- Understanding of GenAI evaluation, hallucination mitigation and guardrails.
- Ability to optimize LLM cost, latency and context utilisation.
- Understanding of security, privacy and access controls for enterprise GenAI applications.
- Ability to integrate GenAI capabilities with Java or Python microservices.
- Experience with monitoring, tracing, logging, and production support of AI workflows.

Customer Solutioning and Technical Documentation:

- Participate in customer discovery and requirement-gathering discussions.
- Identify functional and non-functional requirements.
- Convert business requirements into solution architecture.
- Present alternative approaches with advantages, limitations and cost implications.
- Create HLDs, LLDs, sequence diagrams, API specifications and deployment designs.
- Estimate effort, identify dependencies and prepare implementation plans.
- Explain the proposed solution to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct technical walkthroughs and obtain customer or architecture approval.
