There are children from Banjara and construction worker families where parents don't put their children into any school due to lack of appreciation for education and challenge of not having a permanent place of stay as they keep shifting base. We decided to take the School to the Children with our "Nukkad Pathshalas" (Currently operating 2) to the doorsteps of these children's place of stay. We want to provide some basic education - numeracy & reading skills to all and ensure that those interested in joining formal schooling are mainstreamed(though numbers are very small yet).
We also provide remedial free tuitions to children in Class 6-10 attending Govt Schools where their basic level of learning is significantly poor. We also suport children with schools books and fees for open school - NIOS, College and IGNOU courses.
