Job Title: TDEngine Historian Developer Advanced Support Engineer

Location: Pune

Department/Practice: Operations Technology (OT)

Job Purpose and primary objectives: Modernize industrial data historian platform with AI-ready time-series database by building high-speed data pipelines, design asset-centric data models, and integrate real-time operational data with modern AI analytics and BI dashboards

Responsibilities Monitor and maintain TDengine Historian environments.

Ensure historian availability, performance, and scalability.

Perform health checks, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution.

Manage backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery configurations.

Support patches, upgrades, and version migrations.

System design enhancements and optimization, where relevant, in terms of,

- Data ingestion, custom database schemas
- Integration - connect historical data to tools like Grafana, Power BI, and AI coding agents via standard SQL/JDBC.
- Real-time analytics (stream processing for real-time monitoring, alarming, and data forecasting) and visualization

Key Skills/Knowledge:



Historian application design, configuration, testing, deployment, Support knowledge of historian applications deployed in production

Hands on implementation and support skill associated with Data Historian (Preferably TDengine or AVEVA PI, etc)

Knowledge of overall OT architectural landscape and integrations with IT-OT systems

Knowledge of industrial protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT) and APIs - REST API, JDBC/ODBC

Experience in Data Historian enablement capabilities (Management Services such as AD/ backup, security services, etc.)

Experience building and supporting mission critical application technology components with DR capabilities

Experience required: Minimum of 8+ years overall experience

Minimum of 6 years in OT Solutions and Data Historian applications

Solid hands-on Python programming skills including extensive use of its libraries

Advanced SQL Database experience

Experience with time-series databases (TSDB) or data historians (like TDE TSDB or AVEVA PI is preferred).

Certifications TDEngine, AVEVA PI or any cloud, database administration certifications preferred.
