Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Data Center Administrator - Level 1 to join our Data Center Operations team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the proactive monitoring of compute and link alerts, physical installation of server hardware, and the end-to-end management of Linux operating systems to ensure maximum environment stability.

You will join a dedicated team of infrastructure specialists focused on maintaining high-performance data center functions and delivering seamless technical support across cross-functional domains.





What You’ll Do In this role, you will:

- Hardware Deployment & Validation: Execute the physical deployment, rack mounting, and cabling of server hardware while conducting thorough testing to ensure configurations meet reliability standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with system administrators, network engineers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers to resolve hardware issues and ensure seamless component integration.
- System Hardening & Compliance: Perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system hardening, manage security policies, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Base documentation.

What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience in Data Center Operations or a related technical environment.
- Robust knowledge of Linux operating systems (specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x and 8.x), virtualization technologies like VMware or Nutanix, and core protocols including Domain Name System and Simple Network Management Protocol.
- Proven ability in problem-solving and proactive monitoring using tools such as Paessler Router Traffic Grapher or Zoho to remediate system alerts and perform Root Cause Analysis for critical cases.
- A Bachelor of Engineering in Computers, a Master of Computer Applications, or a related Information Technology degree, supplemented by a Red Hat Certified Engineer certification.
