Role Description This is a contract, in office Subcontractor role located in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Subcontractor will perform assigned construction tasks, which may include trades work, installation, and finishing activities, in alignment with project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily work with site supervisors, reading and following construction drawings, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring quality workmanship. The Subcontractor will be expected to adhere to project schedules,



communicate progress and issues promptly, and collaborate with other subcontractors and the general contractor to keep work on track. The role may also involve basic documentation of completed tasks and compliance with local regulations and site policies.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in commercial construction or related trades work (e.g., carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, or finishing tasks).

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and basic project documentation.

Strong understanding of site safety practices, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to local building and safety codes.

Reliable time management skills, with the ability to follow schedules, meet deadlines, and coordinate work with other site teams.

Effective communication skills for interacting with supervisors, general contractors, and other subcontractors on site.

Physical capability to perform manual labor, operate tools and equipment safely, and work in typical construction site conditions.

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.

Previous experience on commercial projects or with general contractors is preferred; relevant trade certifications or licenses are an advantage.
