Impact Beacon
New Delhi
The Strategy Lead is a senior, high-ownership role at the centre of Impact Beacon's growth. Designed for someone who can operate across strategy, organisational building, and innovation, this person will work in close partnership with senior leadership, taking on meaningful responsibilities and enabling the organisation to operate at its highest value. This is not an implementation-only role.
It requires someone who can think at the level of the organisation, identify where the business needs to go next, design the structures that will get it there, and take ownership of new initiatives from concept through execution. Critically, this person must be equally comfortable in a room with clients as they are behind a strategy document, representing Impact Beacon with credibility, depth, and presence. The ideal candidate brings direct experience in or with the nonprofit sector, understands how these organisations function across their different departments, and can translate that understanding into sharp advisory thinking.
They are as comfortable building frameworks as they are getting things done.
Key Responsibilities Strategy and Planning
Lead the development and maintenance of organisational strategy, ensuring clarity on direction, priorities, and resource allocation.
Support senior leadership in designing and executing key strategic initiatives across Impact Beacon's advisory practice.
Conduct research, market analysis, and landscape scans to inform strategic decisions and identify recent opportunities.
Prepare strategic briefs, position papers, and decision-support materials that allow leadership to move with speed and confidence.
Organisational
Building
Build and maintain systems and processes that allow the organisation to operate effectively as it scales.
Drive internal capability building, including onboarding frameworks, knowledge management, and performance systems.
Identify and resolve structural or process gaps that limit organisational effectiveness. Innovation and New Initiatives
Lead the development of current offerings, market extensions, or strategic partnerships from concept through viability assessment and launch.
Monitor the external landscape for trends, adjacent opportunities, and emerging client needs that Impact Beacon should respond to.
Translate strategic ideas into structured briefs and execution-ready plans.
Client
Engagement and Advisory Support
Lead or support client-facing conversations, including discovery calls, engagement reviews, and senior stakeholder meetings.
Represent Impact Beacon with clarity and credibility in conversations with Executive Directors, boards, and leadership teams of nonprofit organisations.
Contribute to proposal development, client scoping, and advisory output at a standard that reflects the firm's quality bar.
Build relationships with clients and partners that reinforce Impact Beacon's position as a trusted strategic partner. Execution and Coordination
Ensure continuity and follow-through across strategic priorities, tracking decisions, dependencies, and outcomes.
Maintain situational awareness across all active initiatives and surface risks or misalignments early.
Serve as a coordination anchor across internal teams and external partners where required. Role Expectations
This role requires a high degree of ownership, intellectual rigour, and the ability to operate without a clear playbook. The successful candidate will be as comfortable building a strategy framework as they are leading a client conversation or developing a new service offering. They will take initiative, exercise good judgment, and bring structure to ambiguity.
Impact
Beacon works closely with nonprofit leaders who are navigating real operational and strategic pressure. The person in this role must understand that world, not from the outside, but from direct exposure to how these organisations are built and how they function across departments.
What We Are Looking
For
5 to 8 years of experience in strategy, consulting, organisational development, or a combination of these.
Direct experience working in or with nonprofit organisations. This is a must-have, not a nice-to-have.
Working knowledge of how multiple departments within a nonprofit function, including fundraising, finance, programs, HR, and governance.
Proven ability to lead or contribute to client-facing conversations at a senior level, with clarity and confidence.
Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to move from insight to action.
Excellent written communication, clear, precise, and capable of tailoring to different audiences.
Experience designing or contributing to organisational structures, systems, or people strategies.
Ability to develop new ideas into well-structured, viable initiatives.
High degree of ownership and follow-through, comfortable working independently on complex problems.
Comfort operating in ambiguous environments where priorities shift and clarity must be created, not inherited.
Who Will Thrive
Here
You will thrive in this role if you are energised by building things, not just improving them. You think at the level of the organisation, not just the task in front of you. You are comfortable moving between high-level strategy and ground-level execution.
You understand how nonprofits work from the inside, the pressures their leaders face, the constraints they operate within, and what it actually takes to help them move. You can hold a room with a client and hold a complex strategic workstream at the same time. Leadership can hand you a half-formed problem and trust that something clear, considered, and actionable will come back.
Growth
Opportunity
Direct exposure to senior leadership decision-making across strategy, growth, and organisational design.
Ownership of high-impact initiatives at a pivotal stage of the firm's growth.
Exposure to advisory work across a growing portfolio of nonprofit and social impact clients globally.
Opportunity to shape Impact Beacon's future offerings, market position, and internal architecture.
