Remote: Hybrid Company Description KaroStartup is a global startup media platform that began in 2020 as a college-side project on Instagram and has grown into a community of over 1M members. The platform focuses on Bharat’s young founders, including students, first-time entrepreneurs, and early-stage startup builders who are shaping India’s future. KaroStartup prioritizes authentic entrepreneurial journeys, highlighting real struggles, pivots, failures, and breakthroughs rather than hype.

The platform helps founders share their stories, build credibility, and inspire the next wave of entrepreneurs across Bharat. KaroStartup is dedicated to providing visibility to meaningful startup journeys and amplifying their impact.

Role :We're looking for someone who can become the engine behind KaroStartup's story pipeline — someone who's obsessed with finding great Indian brands, getting founders to open up about their real journeys, and turning that raw material into content that stops the scroll.

This isn't a behind-the-scenes-only role. You'll be researching brands, reaching out to founders, having real conversations with them, and eventually stepping in front of the camera yourself — for podcasts, video stories, and on-ground content.

What You'll Do Story Sourcing & Research

Identify under-the-radar Indian brands and founders with genuinely compelling, untold stories

Independently verify facts, revenue figures, and founder details before any story moves forward

Build and maintain a running content bucket of researched, ready-to-develop story ideas

Founder Outreach & Relationship Building

Reach out to founders and businesses via LinkedIn and other social platforms





Pitch and secure conversations with founders to learn their real origin stories — how they started, what nearly broke them, how they built what they have today

Prioritize and set up in-person meetings with Bengaluru/Delhi NCR-based founders where possible

Represent KaroStartup professionally in every outreach conversation — every DM is a potential story, partnership, or podcast guest

Content Creation : Assist in shaping raw founder conversations into KaroStartup's signature storytelling format

Design supporting visuals and graphics using Canva

Edit short-form video content (reels, podcast clips, YouTube shorts) — basic video editing skills required

Apply working knowledge of SMO (Social Media Optimization) to maximize reach and engagement

Apply basic SEO principles to written content and video metadata

On-Camera & Podcast Presence

Be willing to appear on camera — for podcast interviews, video story narrations, and founder conversations

Represent the KaroStartup brand voice confidently in recorded and live formats

Help conduct and co-host podcast conversations with founders

What We're Looking For A genuine love for Indian business, startups, and entrepreneurship stories — you should already be someone who reads/watches this content for fun

Basic proficiency in video editing (any tool — CapCut, Premiere Rush, Canva video, etc.)

Working knowledge of Canva for graphic design

Basic understanding of SMO (Social Media Optimization) and SEO fundamentals





Solid written communication skills — able to conduct research and summarize a founder's story clearly

Comfortable with cold outreach — not afraid of rejection, persistent in following up

Willingness and confidence to be on camera regularly (this is non-negotiable for this role)

Based in Bengaluru or willing to work hybrid from Bengaluru

Bonus: existing interest in or exposure to content creation, journalism, or brand
