Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret client specifications, technical standards, and international codes relevant to static equipment, piping, and steel structures.
- Perform strength and design calculations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and columns using COMPRESS and PV-Elite (ASME Section VIII Div. 1).
- Conduct analysis for self-supported stacks following ASME STS-1, IS 6533, CICIND, including wind load and lifting calculations.
- Design supporting structures such as platforms, piping racks, modular skids, equipment foundations, and access structures using STAAD.Pro.
- Carry out piping stress analysis with CAESAR II (ASME B31.1 / B31.3), considering thermal expansion, vibration, seismic, wind, and support loads.
- Recommend design modifications and support locations to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with drafting and design teams to develop GA drawings, fabrication details, and 3D models.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and provide inputs to optimize layouts for safety and maintainability.
- Liaise with clients, internal teams, vendors, and inspection agencies on technical matters.
- Review vendor documents, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with design intent.
- Support proposals by delivering preliminary design inputs, estimation data, and scope definition for bids.
- Assist project managers to ensure timely delivery of engineering packages.
- Contribute to technical risk assessments, design reviews, and value engineering initiatives.
