About the Role As a Pre-Audit Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that financial transactions and processes adhere to internal controls and regulatory standards before final approval. You will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of financial documents, identifying potential risks or discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Your attention to detail and expertise in financial auditing will help prevent errors and fraud, ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reviews of financial documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure they comply with internal control policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure proper documentation and approvals are in place for all financial transactions before they proceed for final accounting
- Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and non-compliance issues in financial processes, escalating them to the relevant departments for resolution
- Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve financial controls, ensuring the prevention of future errors
- Conduct pre-audit checks for all transactions, including vendor payments, payroll disbursements, and expense claims, to verify accuracy and completeness
- Review and assess compliance with budgetary constraints, contract terms, and regulatory guidelines before approval
- Assist in developing and improving internal audit checklists and procedures to enhance the pre-audit process
- Provide feedback to management on areas for process improvement to strengthen internal controls and efficiency
- Coordinate with different departments to gather necessary documentation and clarify any discrepancies in transactions
- Provide pre-audit reports and insights to senior management, helping guide decision-making related to financial compliance.
- Support to Manager / Sr. Manager in conducting internal audit assignments
Key Attributes
- Proficiency in financial systems and audit tools, with advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, accounting standards,
and internal control frameworks
- Ability to prepare comprehensive pre-audit reports that highlight potential risks and areas of improvement
- Efficient in managing multiple pre-audit processes within strict deadlines

Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (CA, CMA, or CPA) is preferred. Semi qualified CA / CMA with higher experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in financial auditing, internal controls, or accounting, with a focus on pre-audit functions. 5-8 years of experience with Semi qualified CA/ CMA/ CPA.
- Skills:
- Ability to critically analyze financial documents and identify discrepancies or areas of non-compliance
- Attention to detail in reviewing financial data, ensuring that all transactions comply with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Solid problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies and implement improvements in pre-audit processes
- Ability to effectively communicate pre-audit findings and suggestions to various internal stakeholders
