Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electronics package-level thermal analysis
- Develop FE and thermal models for electronic packages
- Perform thermal analysis of PCBs and carrier plate-based avionics subsystems
- Optimize thermal design to ensure electronics reliability in space environments
- Analyze thermal test data to verify design performance and resolve issues
- Generate detailed thermal analysis reports
- Carry out satellite-level orbital thermal analysis
- Develop FE and thermal models for complete satellite systems
- Perform orbital thermal analysis and optimize spacecraft thermal architecture
- Contribute to spacecraft thermal design and management
- Design thermal control elements like coatings, radiators, heaters, insulation
- Provide inputs during design reviews for thermal compliance
- Assist in developing cutting-edge thermal solutions for future missions
- Support thermal testing and implementation
- Assist in planning and executing thermal vacuum tests
- Analyze thermal test data to validate models and improve design
- Implement thermal elements such as heaters, sensors, thermal tapes, MLI
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering
- Strong understanding of conduction, convection, and radiation
- Proficiency in thermal analysis tools (e.g., Siemens NX)
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Inventor)
- Experience with PCB modeling tools (e.g., NX PCB Exchange) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
