The Mission: Build the operating system for the future of AI-powered entertainment.
About
Us
Our journey at Dashverse began with a simple question: What if AI could power the next generation of entertainment? As a Series A company backed by leading investors like Peak XV, Matrix, and Stellaris, we first redefined storytelling with Dashtoon, our revolutionary AI comics creation and distribution platform. Now, with Dashreels, we are creating a new universe of short-form video, pairing addictive short dramas with our own game-changing AI-generated originals.
We're on a mission to become the world's go-to destination for compelling, short-form narrative content.
About The Role We seek a passionate and detail-oriented Sound Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in audio post-production for video content. You will work closely with the creative team to enhance our projects through high-quality sound editing and design. Responsibilities:
Design the sound for assigned microdrama episodes as per the narrative tone, pacing, and visual requirements.
Add sound effects (SFX) and Foley to enhance emotional impact, realism, tension, drama, and storytelling engagement typical of short-form microdrama content.
Generate and experiment with AI-based music, ambience, transitions, and sound elements using tools like Suno and other AI audio platforms when required.
Use AI tools and automation workflows to speed up sound design, editing, cleanup, music generation, and overall post-production efficiency.
Assist with mixing and mastering to produce clean, immersive, high-quality audio optimized for mobile-first and short-form viewing experiences.
Ensure consistent audio quality, loudness, pacing, and tonal balance across episodes and episodic story arcs.
Write effective prompts and creatively direct AI-generated music/audio outputs to match scene mood, genre, character emotions,
reveals, cliffhangers, and cinematic intent.
Collaborate closely with video editors, producers, directors, and post-production supervisors to maintain storytelling continuity and meet creative goals and project timelines.
Requirements: Basic to intermediate proficiency in audio editing tools such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Audacity.
Familiarity with sound design principles, audio formats, cinematic pacing, and post-production workflows for short-form microdrama content.
Understanding of AI-based music and audio generation tools such as Suno or similar platforms is a plus.
Ability to use AI tools and automation workflows to improve efficiency in sound design and audio production.
A keen ear for audio detail, emotional rhythm, dialogue clarity, and creative sound placement.
Understanding of dramatic storytelling beats, tension, reveals, and emotional transitions in microdrama formats.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple episodes and meet tight production deadlines.
Good collaboration and communication skills while working with editors, directors, producers, and post-production teams. Good to Have:
Experience editing short-form or narrative video content.
