Position Summary The Solution Architect is responsible for defining and governing the target-state observability architecture across the customer's transformation program. The role acts as the bridge between business objectives and technical implementation, leading architecture decisions, customer engagement, proposal development, estimations, and expansion opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
- Own the overall observability architecture and roadmap.
- Define standards, governance models, onboarding patterns, and best practices.
- Design enterprise-scale solutions covering:
o Metrics o Logs o Traces o OpenTelemetry o Dashboards o Alerting o SLI/SLO frameworks
- Ensure architecture scalability, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Customer Leadership
- Serve as the primary architecture counterpart to customer architects, platform owners, and technical leadership teams.
- Lead architecture workshops, technical reviews, solution presentations, and design discussions.
- Drive alignment across multiple customer teams and vendors.
- Facilitate and chair architecture governance meetings.
Proposal, Estimation & Business Growth
- Own proposal creation for recent workstreams and migration tracks.
- Produce:
o Solution proposals o Architecture documents o Migration approaches o Technical assessments o Estimations o Staffing plans
- Present and defend technical approaches with customer stakeholders.
- Support account growth through architecture consulting and new opportunity discovery.
Technical Governance
- Guide Technical Leads and engineering teams.
- Review solution designs and implementation approaches.
- Approve architecture decisions and technical standards.
- Resolve high-impact technical issues and escalations.
Hands-on Technical Support
- Review migration strategies and onboarding designs.
- Support complex troubleshooting and architecture validation.
- Provide technical guidance on:
o Data migration o Observability design o OpenTelemetry adoption o Splunk platform optimization
Experience & Qualifications
- 10 years of IT experience.
- 5 years in Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or Architecture leadership roles.
- Proven experience designing enterprise observability platforms.
- Strong experience in:
o Splunk Observability o Splunk Enterprise o OpenTelemetry o Cloud-native platforms o Enterprise integration architecture
- Proven experience producing proposals, estimations, presentations, and architecture roadmaps.
- Strong customer-facing consulting and communication skills.
- Professional English communication skills
