Job Title: Software Engineer – InterSystems Caché & TrakCare HIS
Location: India (Remote)

Integrella is seeking a skilled Healthcare IT Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise healthcare information systems built on the InterSystems technology stack. This role centres on InterSystems TrakCare HIS, Caché/MUMPS, and Caché ObjectScript development, with a focus on building reliable, well-integrated, and high-performing clinical and revenue-cycle solutions for hospital clients.
You will develop and maintain Caché ObjectScript solutions, configure and troubleshoot integration interfaces using the Ensemble integration engine, build SQL-based reporting and automation, and support end-to-end deployments and go-lives across multiple hospital units, working closely with both technical teams and clinical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Develop, customise, and maintain healthcare applications on the InterSystems TrakCare platform using Caché/MUMPS and Caché ObjectScript
Design Caché classes encapsulating business logic, data access layers, and reusable components to improve modularity and maintainability
Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot interfaces using the Ensemble integration engine to ensure reliable data exchange between clinical and administrative systems
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, including payment gateway and third-party healthcare and insurance integrations
Build and optimise SQL-based data extraction, reporting, and reconciliation scripts to support operational and MIS reporting
Automate recurring reports and scheduled tasks using Caché ObjectScript and the MUMPS Task Manager (e.g. scheduled email and MIS delivery)
Optimise SQL and Caché/MUMPS queries and stored procedures to improve data retrieval speed and overall system performance
Perform code reviews and debugging to ensure adherence to coding standards, maintainability, and performance best practices
Investigate and resolve integration issues, data-mapping discrepancies, and interface failures to improve data integrity and reduce downtime
Support go-live, UAT, and post-implementation stabilisation across multiple hospital units, including configuration testing and end-user technical guidance
Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective software solutions Technical Skills Required
2+ years of experience in healthcare IT / health information systems development and support
Hands-on expertise with InterSystems Caché, Caché ObjectScript, and MUMPS development
Proven experience developing and supporting the InterSystems TrakCare HIS platform
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, reporting, tuning, and validation
Experience with the Ensemble integration engine for interface configuration and data exchange
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs (e.g. payment gateway and third-party healthcare/insurance APIs)
Experience automating reports and scheduled tasks using Caché ObjectScript and the MUMPS Task Manager
Working knowledge of Core Java
Experience with code review, debugging, and resolving software defects across release cycles
Familiarity with hospital functional areas such as Billing, Registration, EMR, Laboratory, and reporting/MIS
Experience supporting deployments, go-lives, and post-implementation support across multiple hospital units Technical Skills – Advantageous
Experience with HL7 v2.x message types (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, MDM) – routing, transformation, and Ensemble integration
Exposure to InterSystems HealthShare
Experience with TrakCare reporting tools, CSP (Caché Server Pages), and LogiReport
Familiarity with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), billing, claims, and credit-control workflows
Exposure to additional healthcare platforms such as Midas (Symplr)
Experience with healthcare interoperability integrations such as ABHA, ClaimBook, and insurance/payer APIs What We’re Looking For
