The platform helps organizations address modern identity-based threats by discovering privileged identities, analyzing risk, removing unnecessary access, and enforcing Just-in-Time access only when elevated privilege is required. Unlike traditional PAM tools that primarily manage standing privilege, Ambient Security is designed to shrink the identity attack surface through identity visibility, privileged access management, and agentic AI security. Role Description This is a full-time, in office Software Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and components that power Ambient Security's identity security platform, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.

Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, implementing APIs and microservices, integrating with cloud and enterprise systems, and collaborating with product, security,



and DevOps teams to deliver new features and improvements. The role involves participating in code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, optimizing existing modules, and contributing to architectural decisions that support continuous identity risk reduction.

The Software

Engineer will also help improve engineering practices, documentation, and automation to support secure, efficient software delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade applications.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable server-side architectures.
- Solid understanding and practical use of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles in modern programming languages.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with security concepts such as identity and access management, least privilege, and secure coding practices is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and take ownership of features from design to deployment.
