As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will serve as a technical architect for quality, driving the strategy, design, and implementation of robust automation frameworks that ensure the seamless delivery of high-scale software products.
You will operate at the intersection of development and quality engineering, collaborating closely with product managers, backend engineers, and DevOps teams to shift quality left in the development lifecycle. By building scalable testing infrastructure and fostering a culture of engineering excellence, you will directly influence the reliability, performance, and user experience of our platforms, ensuring that our business outcomes are supported by rock-solid, bug-free releases in a fast-paced Bangalore-based environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks using TypeScript to accelerate release cycles and improve overall system stability for our global user base.
- Lead the design of complex test strategies that cover unit, integration, and end-to-end scenarios to ensure high-quality code deployment across distributed systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct rigorous code reviews to elevate the technical standards and testing maturity of the entire development team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify critical performance bottlenecks and integrate automated performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Drive the adoption of contemporary software testing tools and best practices to minimize technical debt and optimize the efficiency of the quality assurance lifecycle.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling automation frameworks from scratch using TypeScript, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and modern testing libraries.
- Proven ability to leverage a wide array of software testing tools to automate complex workflows and validate microservices architecture.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable, high-coverage test plans.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical quality risks to non-technical stakeholders and influence product roadmaps.
- A track record of working effectively in hybrid or high-collaboration team environments, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in software development and quality engineering.
