Role Description The Service Engineer - Assam role is a full-time, on-site position based in Imphal, responsible for supporting SFRI India’s diagnostic equipment in the field. The role involves installing, commissioning, and configuring hematology, biochemistry, and immunology analyzers at customer locations.

The Service

Engineer will perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair activities, diagnose technical issues, and provide timely troubleshooting and technical support to ensure minimal equipment downtime. Daily responsibilities include responding to service calls, documenting service activities,



training users on basic operation and care of instruments, and coordinating with the technical and sales teams to improve customer satisfaction. The role requires regular field visits within the assigned region and adherence to company safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for diagnostic equipment and related systems.

Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills, including preventive maintenance, calibration, and component-level service.

Candidates should possess Field Service capabilities, including on-site installation, commissioning, and customer visit management.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals, documenting service reports, and collaborating with internal teams.

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.

Prior experience servicing medical diagnostic instruments or laboratory equipment is highly beneficial.

Ability to work independently in the field, manage schedules, and prioritize multiple service requests.

Willingness to travel within the assigned region and hold a valid driving license.
